Introduction to Reiki

What is Reiki:

  • a deeply relaxing hands-on healing technique based on energy
  • a treatment to relieve fatigue, physical tension and pain
  • a support in the reduction of stress, depression and anxiety 
  • a powerful tool to overcome emotional issues, negative thinking and bad habits

 
Reiki is not:

  • a massage because the body is not manipulated (no massaging, kneading or pressing involved but a light hand touch on specific parts of the body)
  • a religion or a sect because it is not based on beliefs, doctrines or on mind control (but on knowledge)
  • dangerous because it is non invasive and can never cause harm

 

How it works:

Imagine you have just got on the highway. Traffic is fluid. This traffic symbolizes the energy circulating through the body.
Then at the same time, a large number of cars enter the highway resulting in a traffic jam. Traffic is now on slow motion. The more cars use the highway, the bigger the congestion becomes and the less fluid the traffic becomes.

This pile-up of vehicles represents your emotions (any fear, anger, attachment...) which prevent the free flow of energy in your body and thus cause the appearance of pain. 

 

The Reiki session will clear, straighten and heal the energy pathways
so that your vital life force can flow naturally
bringing your physical, mental and emotional bodies into balance and harmony
